For awhile, 10050 Cielo Drive would just be another Hollywood house, an architectural beauty for movies stars and musicians to call a home. That was until February of 1969, when famed director Roman Polanski and his wife, Hollywood actress Sharon Tate moved in. What followed on August 9th, 1969 would forever change the world and would figuratively mark the death of the 1960’s.
Currently making its round on the internet is a Facebook event named “Storm Area 51: They Can’t Stop All Of Us”. This event is an invitation to raid the conspiracy filled Air Force base in Nevada called Area 51. The event is said to be out of fun and most likely won’t happen. The street fighting was also not limited to the larger populated areas. In fact, just such a battle occurred in Wytheville in 1863.
Many in the media portray those who have had experiences with UFOs to be those who wear tinfoil hats, quacks, or at the bare minimum, drunk. Sometimes, this may be the case, but not all the time. The residents of Wytheville, VA learned this firsthand during the year of 1987. Certainly, the residents at the time and one family in particular learned that maybe, just maybe, there are things in the world that currently defy explanation no matter the walk of life you hail from.
